The number 31 spoke on his Instagram account after his general manager Kent Hughes confirmed to the media on Wednesday that his name was on the long-term injured list.

“I just want to thank everyone who has supported me over the last few months, weeks or years. These were very emotional moments for me”, he wrote in English, before concluding with the word “thank you” in French and the famous rallying message “Go Habs go!” illustrated in capital letters.

Limited to five games last season, Price is struggling to recover from surgery after the 2021 Stanley Cup Final, according to Hughes. The latter said he was not optimistic to see him back in action without further surgery.
