Place for readers | The series you binged

To complete your TV catch-up, here are some series that were popular with our readers. Good news: many of them are available for free online.

My favorite is the series A criminal case 2. I decided to catch up on Quebec shows and series online in recent months. I quickly realized that we had nothing to envy of series produced elsewhere. I really liked the acting, the plot, the dialogues and the way it was filmed. That’s it, I fell in love with our Quebec television again.

Fragments. For me, this story is like lace, fine, delicate, an emotional thread that captivated me. The actors are all more extraordinary than the others.

Hélène De Gagne

The perfect moments. It was touching, never loud screams, no weapons, no violence, realistic moments like we see in all families. So sad it’s over! Well done to all the actors and authors.

Huguette Massé

Offered free of charge on VAT+

On the English-speaking side, I made a great discovery with reality TV The Traitors with Karine Vanasse. I don’t listen to this type of show much, but it was definitely something new. I really appreciated Karine’s French-speaking touch (who was also excellent in Before the crash).

Christina Rousse

Raspberry time. I loved this series which made me laugh and cry. Everything was perfect: the Quebecois, English-speaking, Mexican actors and the music, exceptional. I hope there will be a sequel.

Obviously the best series is STATbut I must say that this year, the series Classified secret is truly worthy of any American or English series.

Line Laliberté

The second season of Classified secret is offered on Addik (subscription required); the first season is free on TVA+

Among everything I’ve seen, read or heard this year, the series Before the crash was my absolute favorite. The quality of the texts, the way in which the actors were able to convey each emotion, the great acting of Éric Bruneau… I would have missed any other TV series without a problem, but this one, no way. I hope there will be a sequel.

Manon Blais

The two seasons ofBefore the crash are offered on ICI Tou.tv Extra (subscription required)

I loved the series Daisy Jones and the Six, which immerses us in the fictional story of a rock group from the 1970s (largely inspired by Fleetwood Mac). Elvis’ granddaughter [Riley Keough] breaks the screen in the title role and his voice is magnificent! It’s hard to believe she hadn’t sung professionally. And then, the songs are catchy, the costumes and sets are dreamy. What a refreshing series! As for Quebec series, I was very touched by Mégantic. I am a psychologist specializing in post-traumatic stress and, for me, the series treated the subject with intelligence and great sensitivity.
