The trailer for “Lightyear” (the original title) is a hit and promises to make Disney and Pixar happy. The release of this film, which tells the story of the astronaut who inspired the toy from the “Toy Story” saga, is scheduled for summer 2022.

Pixar unveiled the first trailer for Buzz Lightning (Lightyear in English) in which we discover the crazy images of the prequel to Toy story, announced in theaters for next summer. The animated film, which multiplies the nods to Star Wars, Interstellar and Alien, tells the story of Buzz Lightyear, the “real” Space Ranger, a human astronaut who inspired the toy of the same name in the saga Toy story.
A trailer with sound by Starman by David Bowie who immediately took off “to infinity and beyond“: One hour after its broadcast, it had already been viewed over a million times, and the video had more than 5 million views 24 hours later.
The animated film is directed by Angus MacLane co-director of Finding Dory in 2016, and Buzz Lightyear will be voiced by actor Chris Evans, who has played Captain America at Marvel for the past ten years.
The film is due in theaters in the United States on August 17, 2022.
