Since the leak of the US Supreme Court document on access to abortion, I have been shocked by the way our parliamentarians and the media are talking about the right to abortion. It is as if unborn children were inanimate objects, endowed with no feeling or value whatsoever.
If mother kangaroos decide to get rid of the young they carry in their pouch and start jumping on their little bodies, our hearts will be upset, and we will send the greatest specialists in animal behavior to try to understand this abnormal behavior.
Why are our hearts not overwhelmed by the photos of children whose mothers have had an abortion, children who all experience a form of torture before dying? How can we constantly talk about the importance of dying with dignity for human beings at the end of life, when we don’t care how human beings at the beginning of life are disposed of in an abortion clinic?
