Pittsburgh Steelers | Cam Sutton suspended for first eight games of the season

(New York) The NFL has suspended Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Cam Sutton for the first eight games of the 2024 season after he violated the league’s personal conduct policy.

The circuit announced the decision Monday, adding that Sutton will be eligible to apply for reinstatement on Oct. 29. He will not be paid during the suspension.

Sutton was allegedly involved in a domestic violence case in Florida in March.

He turned himself in to authorities and entered a diversion program in April after the charges were downgraded from serious to simple mischief. Sutton was also required to undergo a mental health evaluation, according to the agreement with prosecutors.

The NFL conducted its own investigation into the incident, which led to the suspension.

The Detroit Lions released Sutton immediately after a warrant was issued for his arrest. The Steelers later offered him a lift. He played for the Steelers from 2017 to 2022.
