Ironically, US President Joe Biden was in Pittsburgh at the same time, precisely to announce massive investments to strengthen the country’s infrastructure. He visited the scene of the accident and was impressed by the disaster. According to the last inspection, the bridge was in poor condition. The exact causes of the collapse remain unknown for the time being.
