A victory in pain. Led, Paris Saint-Germain worked to win on the lawn of Maccabi Haifa during the second day of the Champions League (3-1), Wednesday, September 14, thanks to three achievements from their attacking trio. Without being brilliant, Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappé and Neymar were still there.
Gianluigi Donnarumma: 6/10
One of the best Parisians on the pitch tonight. Always well placed to repel Israeli long shots (45th + 1, 49th), he can do nothing on Chery’s goal at close range (25th). His little hesitation in the face of Maccabi’s pressing at the very start of the match was quickly forgotten.
Nordi Mukiel: 3/10
For his first tenure on the European scene in his new colours, Mukiele had a difficult evening. Too easily taken in the back, the French defender has rarely been in the right tempo in his role as right piston. He combined well with Messi on a few occasions and he is behind on a free-scoring opportunity, alone against the goalkeeper (64th). Replaced by Achraf Hakimi (83rd).
Marquinhos: 4.5/10
Like his defense colleagues, the Parisian captain suffered in the first period, before regaining his footing. Overtaken on the Israeli goal, he made up for it with a good return on Atzili during a dangerous action before the break, and managed to contain Chery.
Sergio Ramos: 5/10
The Spaniard struggled throughout the meeting to propose shifts and solutions. Initially in difficulty faced with the speed of the opposing attack, he took advantage of the Israelis’ slowdown in the second period to project themselves forward.
Danielo: 4.5/10
Established in place of Kimpembe, Danilo gradually gained strength after a difficult first period for the Parisian defense. Solid in the duel, he shook off the Israeli attackers. But he was sometimes rushed behind his back.
Nuno Mendes: 3.5/10
Uninspired, author of several bad choices, the Portuguese suffered on his left side. On Maccabi’s goal, he let Haziza cross and find Chery. He showed himself offensively on a few shifts, which brought a little speed to the Parisian game. But he lacks serenity with the ball at his feet.
Marco Veratti: 4.5/10
The Italian midfielder offered a performance far from his best level. It was he who sent a bad pass to Ramos on the loss of the ball which leads to the Israeli goal. In the legs at the end of the game, he turned into a decisive passer for Neymar (88th).
Vitinha: 5/10
Valuable in creation, the Portuguese environment was one of the few to bring movement and percussion to the Parisian game. But he didn’t always manage to find Verratti by his side. He fails to compensate for the absence of Ramos in the box on the Israeli goal. Replaced by Fabian Ruiz (74th)author of some interesting forward runs.
Lionel Messi: 6.5/10
After a timid start, the Argentinian managed to raise the level before the break. Well placed in the area, it allows Paris to return to height (37th). Of the attacking trio, it was he who stood out the most in the second period, decisive passer for the equalizer of Mbappé (69th).

Neymar: 5.5/10
His goal at the very end of the game comes to raise a borrowed performance (88th). Stirring in the first period, he stumbled twice on the Maccabi goalkeeper (7th, 29th). But he died after returning from the locker room. Replaced by Carlos Soler (90’+1)who did not have the opportunity to show himself.
Kylian Mbappe: 5.5/10
Symbolically, it was he who put his club back on track (69th). He is also behind the cross that leads to Messi’s goal. Before that, the French striker had tried, but failed, like his two face to face crunched in front of the goalkeeper at the start of the game.
