Mr. Poilievre, the comments you made about Bruno Marchand and Valérie Plante demonstrate your contempt for the truth.

It is time for you to understand that honesty is a value dear to the people of Quebec.
I am of the opinion that lying politicians like Donald Trump would not sit here. Not even the Rob Fords of this world.
Trying to imitate them is an insult to our intelligence. A form of denial of our values.
Skill
In Quebec, we have long understood that competence requires being in search of truth. One that allows us to understand the causes of the problems we face while taking into account their complexity.
This step is essential to implementing real solutions, to meet the real needs of the real world.
Common sense is there: understand before speaking in order to act intelligently.
Looking for the argument that polarizes and divides, the one that appeals to the darkest human instincts to manipulate, is not competence, but demagoguery.
It can be entertaining to watch, but it does not translate into voting intentions in Quebec.
In any case, not for long.
Need for intellectual honesty
Talk to Quebec Conservative Leader, Éric Duhaime. He learned this the hard way during the last elections. Not only did his party come fifth, but he failed to even get elected in his own riding. And his support continues to fall.
Talk to the CAQ elected officials about it. Their lack of transparency and honesty in several issues, including that of the third link, caused them to fall in the polls.
Also talk to representatives of the Liberal Party of Quebec. Past scandals and controversies have not yet been forgotten.
“I remember” isn’t written on our license plates for nothing.
Facts First
Mr. Poilievre, if you aspire to become the next Prime Minister of Canada, I would hope that you are better informed than you lead us to believe.
You know that federal housing funding does not go through cities in Quebec. Contrary to what you insinuated by insulting some of our elected officials.
You also know that the current housing shortage in Canada would be less if, when you were in power alongside Stephen Harper, your government had listened to the recommendations of the real world on the ground. FRAPRU has alerted you many times, as have many experts since 2011.
The current housing crisis, the rise in homelessness and food insecurity are not only the consequences of global inflation, but also those of the laissez-faire policies of successive governments.
Particularly when the Conservative Party was in power. Especially when YOU were in power.
Let me remind you that the sincere search for truth is also essential when it comes to the environment, health, social justice and poverty.
