Pierre Le Roy won this Sunday morning the second stage of the sailing race which connects the Azores archipelago to Sables-d’Olonne. He had already won the first outward leg, in the direction of Les Sables – Azores, with a 20-hour lead in the standings, and therefore won the ninth edition of this race.
The Lille resident crossed the finish line off Les Sables d’Olonne around 7:20 a.m. this Sunday morning, after nine days of racing. Until then, only Aymeric Chappellier and Ian Lipinski had achieved the double in this race. The arrivals will be linked until Tuesday.
