Pierre Lapointe signs the soundtrack of the film The Origin of Evil

The soundtrack of the French film The origin of evilby Sébastien Marnier, will be composed by Pierre Lapointe, and will include a duet with French singer Fishbach for the title track.

The complete soundtrack album will be available online on September 30, while the film will be released in Quebec in early 2023. It will have its North American premiere this Friday at the Festival international du Toronto film (TIFF). Laure Calamy, Doria Tillier, Dominique Blanc and Suzanne Clément are part of the cast.

The singer-songwriter also presented this Thursday a music video shot at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (MMFA) for his song Flowers from another dimensiontaken from purple houran album launched last February in addition to the exhibition Nicolas Party: The purple hour.

Co-directed by Pierre Lapointe and Simran Dewan, the music video was shot in the MMFA’s exhibition halls. “Simran and I decided to integrate myself into the works, as if I were part of the installation,” said Pierre Lapointe in a press release.

The Nicolas Party exhibition: The purple hour is presented at the MMFA until October 16.
