The discussion led on the environment by the member for Sainte-Marie–Saint-Jacques did not seem to interest Pierre Fitzgibbon on Thursday in Quebec.

The Salon Bleu cameras which were filming the question period at the National Assembly captured the Minister of the Economy who was looking for deals in digital grocery store flyers.

Renowned for being a deal makerMr. Fitzgibbon appears to take his role very seriously, even in his personal life.

Although he is known for having a well-stocked wallet, he still searches for bargains even on the grocery aisles.

His office indicated that “it is normal for the minister to follow fluctuations in food prices.”

“The price of the grocery basket is one of the main concerns of Quebecers,” wrote the minister’s press secretary Mathieu St-Amant.

Manon Massé responded on the social network X, affirming that Québec solidaire would soon make a proposal for the price of the grocery basket.

“Mr. Fitzgibbon. I hope you will listen this time,” she said.
