Implementing a 17-hectare photovoltaic park can always arouse opposition. So to associate the inhabitants with the project, they were invited to participate in the financing with a rate at 5%. “We had a strong enthusiasm. The subscription was totaled between two to three weeks. We raised 850,000 euros on the territory”explains François Palmier, project manager.
On the town, they are about fifteen to have subscribed to it. “We said to ourselves why not, it seemed quite secure”says Yves Andrieux, farmer and underwriter. At such rates, the subscription quickly attracted savers. “In terms of remuneration, we receive roughly the equivalent of 5% per year on the amount that has been invested”says Nicolas Coste, banker and underwriter. In total, the project brought together 150 investors. After five years, they will recover their stake with capitalized interest.
