Listen to the summary from Maxime Deland, currently on site in Contrecoeur, via QUB radio:

The trio was nabbed early in the evening, while they were in a vehicle on the Mohawk territory of Kahnawake.

They should be questioned during the day on Monday by investigators of crimes against the person from the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).

As part of this same murder investigation, SQ investigators, assisted by forensic identification technicians and experts from the Judicial Sciences and Legal Medicine Laboratory, arrived Monday morning at a residence on rue Dozois, in Contrecoeur.

In the morning, the police searched the residence inside where the murder was allegedly committed, according to our sources.

According to our information, once the murder was committed, the body would have been transported to the L’Ancienne-Lorette sector, in the suburbs of Quebec.

The suspects allegedly shredded the body in a pruning machine and set the human remains on fire.

The remains of the victim were then abandoned on site, on the land of a pruner. The owner of the place, however, would have no link to this scandalous affair.

As of Monday morning, the identity of the victim was still unknown. But the murder could be linked to organized crime.

An autopsy is expected to be carried out on the victim’s remains in the coming hours to try to establish his identity and the cause of death.
