[PHOTOS] Montreal: a vehicle targeted by gunfire in LaSalle

Shots were fired hitting a vehicle in the borough of LaSalle, in Montreal, on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday.

A 911 call told officers of gunshots heard shortly after 2:30 a.m. at the intersection of Airlie and Stinson streets.

According to initial information, the occupant or occupants of a moving vehicle fired shots in diction from another car, near an outside crowd of people.

The vehicles then immediately left the scene, including the suspect vehicle, said Mariane Allaire Morin, spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).

For the moment, no victim has been located or suspect arrested, but shell casings have been found on the ground and projectile impacts on a vehicle, according to the SPVM.

The scene was protected by a security perimeter pending the arrival of investigators and forensic identification technicians to analyze it and try to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting, it was added.
