The regional elections are continuing everywhere in France in search of candidates for the next Miss France 2023 competition. This will be held in December in Châteauroux, where Maeva Coucke had already been crowned in the past. But until it comes to that, Saint Barthelemy has so far found its ambassador. She’s the young Ines Tessier who will represent the island this year. This is the second time for this region to find itself in competition for the national election, after the coronation of Layla Berry in 2019.
“I was not expecting it at all. As I told myself that I was not going to win, I was not stressed at all“, reacted after the fact Inès Tessier for the Journal de Saint-Barth. And for her to rejoice in the great adventure that awaits her: “Being Miss allows me to do things that I would never have done otherwise. To ensure all her commitments, the pretty brunette of 19 years of 1m70 will however have to put on hold her studies of cinema which she had started in Montreal. “It’s not possible to manage both, so I’m going to put my film studies on hold for a year.n”, she announced. And it is true that Inès Tessier will already have a lot to do as Miss Saint-Martin-Saint-Barthélémy 2022, in particular to learn the codes of a real beauty queen. “It’s going to be super rewarding, I’m even going to have lessons in good manners for eating well“, she enthused.
