[PHOTOS] Deadly road trip in Spyder in Lévis: alcohol could be involved

The taking of a blood sample was requested from the driver of the three-wheeled motorcycle which made a fatal road trip in Lévis on Sunday evening.

“There are certain elements which made it possible to demonstrate, perhaps, the presence of alcohol in the organism of the driver, therefore a blood test was requested”, indicated the spokesperson for the City police department. of Lévis (SPVL), Frédéric Fréchette, the day after the tragedy.

The 60-year-old was at the controls of the Spyder-type motor vehicle when it swerved, around 7:45 p.m., near 1535 Lambert Road.

The individual was taken to hospital, but his life is not in danger. Unfortunately, the death of the passenger, a 55-year-old woman, was found on the spot.

“The investigation is still ongoing, in assistance to the coroner’s office,” said Mr. Fréchette.

An accident scene reconstructionist from the Sûreté du Québec also went on site to better understand the causes and circumstances of the event.
