Not really in agreement… Anne Hidalgo would have done better to turn her tongue seven times in her mouth before answering Apolline de Malherbe’s questions. The journalist ofRMC received the PS candidate for the 2022 presidential election this Wednesday, April 6 in her morning to discuss her program and what she wanted to do for France in the event that she were elected.
The current mayor of Paris also took the opportunity to recall that she was “the only one to come from a working class world”… But Anne Hidalgo probably didn’t think when making such a statement. “The team that is around me is a team of women and men who are really rooted in the territories. I have a team from France des mers. A totally renewed team and which comes from where? Almost all of the popular categories”she confides at first before specifying to Apolline de Malherbe: “Me when I talk about the middle classes, the workers, I know what it is I come from. I’m not talking about something that I would have learned from books”.
Not really the only one
The journalist then cut off the presidential candidate to remind her that “many of you among the candidates can say the same. Jean-Luc Mélenchon, we can’t say the opposite…”to which Anne Hidalgo then retorted: “No, take a good look at each other’s careers, I’m the only one to come from a working-class background. Besides, he told me that when he was at the PS ‘You’re the only one who when she talks about the working world knows what she talks about because I come from”.
But the candidate seems to forget that the candidate best placed to talk about the working class is undoubtedly Philippe Poutou. The NPA candidate did not hesitate to remind him of this by retweeting the sequence of Anne Hidalgo on RMC accompanied by a “Hello, nice to meet you.” filled with irony. She then tried to catch up by responding to the tweet by qualifying her words: “Hello, also delighted. Only candidate and you only candidate”.
