Philippe Lacheau, ruined, put his car up for sale on Leboncoin and does not hide it on the set of “Quelle époque”!

This Saturday, February 11, 2023 on France 2the talk show What an era! once again received guests from all cultural, political and media backgrounds. Around Léa Salamé, Christophe Dechavanne and Philippe Caverivière, this new edition brought together on its set the former Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin, the host Cyril Féraud, the editorialist of France Inter Dominique Seaux, the economist Michael Zemmour, the serial killer Charles Sobhraj, nicknamed “the snake” or the actors Philippe Lacheau, Elodie Fontan. This couple, in the city as on the screen, is currently living a superb cinematographic love story since the release, on February 8, of the film Alibi.com 2, directed by Philippe Lacheau. The latter benefits today, after the success of his first films like Baby sitting (1 and 2) or Alibi.com, of what is called “the map”. But he does not forget the years of hardship he went through before and openly confides in the presenter who asks him: “Did you have any doubts, Philippe, during the crossing of the desert, when things weren’t working?”, the actor and director then responds, in complete transparency: “Yes, a lot of doubts, disappointments, there are a thousand times I could have stopped… I ate so many doors that it was complicated. It’s really the passion that held me… I had no choice, at some point it has to work, for years I found myself back to the wall, I had no more money, nothing came back”, admits the leader of “La bande à Fifi”.

“I will not stay to see my parents who help me pay my rent”

“You even sold your car on Leboncoin” relaunched the journalist. “Yes, I had nothing left… The turning point was Babysitting. Either the film was being made and that allowed me to hold on a little bit, or I took a more traditional path”, specifies Philippe Lacheau. And what about his girlfriend? Léa Salamé then turns to Elodie Fontan: “And you Elodie, did you doubt too?”, and the young woman, mother of little Raphaël, 3 years old, born of her union with the director of Nicky Larson and Cupid’s Perfumeto respond in the same vein: “JI think that’s a bit the case with all actors, I rarely see any who have lived a long calm river and for whom it has been super easy, so yes There was a period when I wanted to do cinema , I couldn’t do it, I had a bit of the TF1 label, I couldn’t get out of it. So yes, I asked myself the question ‘well what am I doing now, I’m not going to stay to see my parents who help me pay my rent, do odd jobs, and then I was lucky enough to have But what the hell did we do? who changed things, but before that it was complicated”. A real lesson in stubbornness!
