In June 2022, severe weather had prompted the Eurockéennes to cancel its first evening. Several artists had not been able to perform, in particular… Philippe Etchebest and his group “Chief & The Gang”. “There was frustration, arriving from Bordeaux, in the heat, after great balance, telling ourselves that we couldn’t play, it was really terrible”, said the juror Top chef at the microphone of France Blue. Several months will have made it possible to go from disappointment to joy. On Friday April 21, 2023, the festival announced that the musicians would be there.
They are programmed on the last evening, on the main stage, just before the headliner, Indochine. “It’s not nothing, it’s still somethingcontinued the starred chef. Especially in terms of attendance, I think we will never have played in front of so many people. It’s going to be a great experience, it’s new for us.”
The Belfort festival will be held this year, from Thursday June 29 to Sunday July 2, on the banks of the Malsaucy pond. Several big names from the music scene are expected: Orelsan, Skrillex, Lomepal, Niska, Dinos, Phoenix, Pomme, Kungs…”It’s a nice mark of recognition. Philippe Etchebest also indicated that the stamp that his group will receive will be donated to the association Pompiers Solidaires, a cause “which is dear to his heart”.
