Philippe Dubois, the detainee who escaped Monday from Mauzac prison (Dordogne) and who was arrested in Nice on Wednesday, was presented Thursday, March 16 to an examining magistrate in Bergerac for an indictment for “repeat escape” and “participation in a criminal association with a view to committing a crime”, indicates the Bergerac prosecution in a press release.

The hearing of Philippe Dubois before the judge must in particular determine whether the description he makes of the facts corresponds to the reality of his journey during his escape and check whether he benefited from any complicity.

At the end of his indictment and the hearing before the judge of freedoms and detention, Philippe Dubois will be imprisoned in the penitentiary center of Mont-de-Marsan, to continue the execution of his convictions. The Bergerac prosecution also requested his placement in pre-trial detention. He faces 10 years in prison because of the state of legal recidivism, specifies the prosecution.
