He is accused of sexual assault. Vincent Cerutti was indicted in September 2023, for facts dating back to 2015. A former colleague on Chérie FM accuses him of having repeatedly bitten her buttocks. A scandal which even caused the host’s wife, Hapsatou Sy, to react. This November 20, 2023, Philippe Candeloro reacted to the affair, on the set of “Jordan’s”.
“I don’t excuse weirdos or perverts”
He explained to Jordan de Luxe: “I heard some disappointments there, it’s a bit surprising”. And to ask, doubtfully: “How do you bite a woman’s butt on a radio show? It’s a game”. And to add, while the star recognized schoolboy games, the one who knew him well assured: “I do not excuse weirdos or perverts, because I am not one, I do not use my notoriety to achieve sexual ends“. And to conclude: “If he did it and it’s recognized, I’m not the judge on that. It’s his business, but I’m talking about a period when I knew him and it would have surprised me to learn that from Vincent.”
Philippe Candeloro, who participated in season 2 of Dancing with the Stars, on TF1, in 2011, returned to the man he knew. Indeed, Vincent Cerutti hosted the show at the time with Sandrine Quétier, when the figure skater danced with Candice Pascal (he finished 2nd in the competition, behind Shy’m). Philippe Candeloro remembers: “In fact, what surprises me, knowing Vincent, is that at the time, when I knew him on Dancing with the Stars […]he’s not the type of person who is crazy, who does stupid things“.
His ouster from DALS would have caused a “unhappiness” his home
The athlete hypothesizes that his “eviction from DALS, his exit was perhaps a trigger for a feeling of unease to settle in within him.”. And to add: “I think he suffered a lot […] I think all of this is difficult when you’re thrown out without really explaining why. I felt it, because behind him he continued to do radio. Sometimes we don’t really understand the decision of the parent company, which decides to change the presenter.”
