(Philadelphia) Winger Owen Tippett has agreed to a $49.6 million, eight-year contract with the Philadelphia Flyers, a source familiar with the matter said.
The person spoke to The Associated Press anonymously because there has been no official announcement.
The 24-year-old Ontarian is the Flyers’ second goal scorer this season, having scored 18 goals.
He is third on the club with 30 points in 46 games.
The Peterborough native has been with the Flyers since they acquired him from Florida in 2022 at the trade deadline.
Tippett is currently sidelined with lower body issues.
The Flyers will play again Saturday afternoon at home, against the Boston Bruins.
