The Eagles are 8-0 for the first time in club history.

The score was 14-14 at the half.

The Eagles stayed ahead on a 17-yard touchdown pass from Hurts to AJ Brown with 8:04 remaining in the third quarter.

The rise began with an interception from CJ Gardner-Johnson, the NFL’s leading player with five such streaks this season.

Gardner-Johnson went for 25 yards after the interception. He picked up a pass aimed at the enemy in a fourth game in a row.

Houston (1-6-1) was limited to one field goal afterward.

Followed by a four-yard catch from Dallas Goedert, then a run from Hurts for a two-point convert.

James Bradberry sealed the result with another interception late in the game.

A native of Houston, Hurts was playing at NRG Stadium for the first time in his career.

The Eagles will play their next game Nov. 14 at home against the Commanders.

Davis Mills had 154 passing yards, with two touchdowns and two interceptions.

He was without his two best wide ends, Brandi Cooks and Nico Collins.

Cooks missed practice amid trade rumours. Collins is injured in the groin.

The Texans’ fourth-round pick in April, Dameon Pierce set a career-high 139 rushing yards.

In his previous game, he had just 35 yards on 15 carries.
