The authorities released new photos on social networks on Sunday morning: in several of them, Danelo Cavalcante, a 34-year-old Brazilian, captured by video surveillance cameras, no longer has a beard contrary to the images in his wanted notice. .

In another message on the police think the escapee is traveling.

The hunt led by hundreds of law enforcement agents using helicopters, drones and dog units, with reinforcements from the federal police (FBI), began on August 31, when Danelo Cavalcante escaped from the Chester County Jail near Philadelphia.

The inmate was sentenced on August 22 to life in prison for stabbing his former girlfriend to death, in front of the victim’s child, during an argument in April 2021. According to the police, who considers him dangerous, he is also wanted for a murder committed in Brazil.

His escape, of which a video captured by a camera was released by the authorities, is as spectacular as it is embarrassing for prison officials.
