He became the first PGA player in three years to win back-to-back regular season tournaments.
At Detroit Golf Club, Finau set a tournament mark with a total of 262, or 26 under par.
His closest pursuers were Patrick Cantlay (66), Cameron Young (68) and Ontario’s Taylor Pendrith (72).
Finau and Pendrith, of Richmond Hill, shared the lead at the start of the day.
Pendrith committed three bogeys and collected his worst score of the tournament.
Earlier this year, he missed nearly four months with a broken rib.
Finau recorded a fourth career victory and second in two weeks following the 3m Open in Minnesota.
The most recent case of back-to-back PGA wins was Brendon Todd’s in 2019.
Finau scored his first win in five years last August at the Northern Trust Open.
The last tournament of the PGA regular season will take place from Thursday to Sunday, in North Carolina (the Wyndham Championship).
Players in the top 125 will advance to the playoffs, in addition to earning a full PGA status card for 2023.
Fourth in the world, Cantlay brought back a third straight card of 65 or 66.
Canadian Adam Svensson went 72 for 276 in the 24e rank.
His compatriot Adam Hadwin signed his best card of the tournament, a 67. He finished 37eat 278.
Roger Sloan, also of the Maple Leaf, went 71 for 280 (49e square).
