(Detroit) Cam Davis won the Rocket Mortgage PGA Classic for the second time in his career on Sunday with a final card of 70, two shots under par.
Davis, a 29-year-old Australian whose first PGA Tour triumph came three years ago at the Detroit Golf Club, won by one stroke over Akshay Bhatia when the latter three-putted ‘a distance of 32 feet on the 18e Green.
Davis had joined Bhatia at the top of the leaderboard thanks to a birdie at 17e hole, a par-5. Bhatia played 72 on Sunday.
Davis finished the tournament with a cumulative score of 270, 18 under par.
Ontario’s Ben Silverman shot par on Sunday and finished tied for 17th.e rank, 12 shots under par.
