The Quebec singer, actor, dancer and acrobat PETiTOM was crowned Male Revelation for his title role in the musical Molière, the musical show In France. The prize was presented to him on Monday, during the evening of the Musical Comedy Trophies at the Folies Bergères, which rewards artists on the French stage each year.
“I am overwhelmed with emotion. Two years ago I dreamed of a career in France, it’s a great first victory, even if I don’t do this job to win prizes, it’s always gratifying to receive one,” PETiTOM said in a statement.
Molière, the musical show was first created in the great hall of the Dôme de Paris last fall, before going on tour throughout France. The play, which enjoyed great public success, recently celebrated its 100th anniversary.e performance, and will return for 11 evenings at the Dôme in February 2025.
The show, which recounts the life of Molière in an environment of urban music, received seven trophies on Monday. In addition to the prize won by PETiTOM, the play won the prize for Best Musical, Female Revelation, Costume Creation, Score, Choreography, as well as the Audience Trophy.
