Already the mother of four boys (Théodore, Aristide, Hyppolyte and Maxime), Péri Cochin gave birth to her fifth child 10 years ago. A pregnancy not premeditated by the latter and which she returned to while she was invited on the set of At Jordan’s
this Tuesday October 24, 2023.
“The last one was super borderline in terms of age, worse than borderline. I gave birth at 49”she confided to Jordan De Luxe before returning to the beginning of her love story with the father of the youngest daughter, a certain Andrea.
“When I meet Andréa, the story starts to get a little serious, then I go to see the doctor saying, it might be good to have contraception. There, the doctor looks at me and says ‘at your age , we’re going to talk about something else like menopause’. I go home. There, Andrea says to me ‘I’d like us to move in together’. He had never had a child. I told him ‘Frankly, if you want to have children, I’m not the right choice.’ He said to me, ‘No, I don’t care, I don’t want to have children.’ And then, two months go by and boom, I’m pregnant”remembered the former columnist of Laurent Ruquier.

“I raised a child with problems”
A pregnancy deemed to be at risk by this same doctor due to her advanced age. “There, I call the doctor and I tell him, but what is this bullshit. He says to me ‘no but don’t worry it can happen at your age, but it doesn’t hold up’ . After two or three months, he said to me ‘no but don’t get excited, there are still plenty of tests to do'”, says Péri Cochin. Recommendations obviously followed by the latter.
“All the tests are fantastic, everything is going well, in the end we have a beautiful girl who is doing well and is great,” she said about her daughter Talma. A relief for the former M6 presenter. “The only thing that scared me before she was born was that she would have a problem because I raised a child with problems,” she said, referring to her son Maxime who suffers from a mental disability.
“When we have experienced this once we say to ourselves that it is the adventure of life, but we are not going to try. To reproduce the same story”she concluded.
