Almost 30 years after the end of The Class which he hosted on France 3 every evening, Fabrice still enjoys immense popularity in the hearts of the public. A show that has become cult which, from 1987 to 1994, revealed many comedians like Jean-Marie Bigard, Chantal Ladesou, Michèle Laroque, Anne Roumanoff or Pierre Palmade. Determined not to become corny, the host of the legendary program had at the time decided to retire. “I haven’t kept in touch. Anyway, even at the time, I didn’t socialize much with people in the trade, I worked too much to have the time”he revealed in 2015 to Tele-Leisure who had found him in Switzerland, where he lives today far from show business. A long well-deserved vacation for the 81-year-old man, whom he sometimes interrupts to join the set of Big headsof Laurent Ruquier who has had a great admiration for him since childhood. Invited by Jordan De Luxe in his program At Jordan’swhich will be broadcast on C8 this Tuesday, June 20, 2023, the host, very moved, and even in tears, looks back on his rich audiovisual years, in particular on the airwaves of RTL where he created the famous “suitcase”… To listeners, he sends a tender message to Jordan De Luxe: “I miss them a lot, I wake up quite often wanting to tell them about my life.” And to add facing the camera: “I miss you…”.

“Forgive me for asking you this question, but I have to…”
The presenter of C8, faithful to his image as an “itchy hair” interviewer, faced with the one who imitates the ringtone of the telephone like no one else, could not help asking him about the recent “Palmade affair”: “You who launched Pierre Palmade, forgive me for asking you this question, but I have to ask you, it must be a huge pain to you at the moment what is happening, what would you say to him?” A relevant question, especially since Pierre Palmade himself had launched, in 2010, a comedy program called Made in Palmadebroadcast every Sunday on France 3, using the codes of The Class, concept created by Guy Lux. A springboard for young artists recruited among the students of Pierre Palmade in the workshop he led at the Point Virgule theater in Paris. And the ex-host, not hiding his sadness, to respond soberly: “I would say to him: ‘write for others, perhaps under another name’”…A piece of advice full of wisdom.
