Few artists can boast of lasting over time. This is the case of Sheila
who still has sixty years of career under his belt. It is for this occasion that the 78 year old star
decided to meet its audience with a special tour and by releasing a double CD called “Sheila, Live in Brussels”.
Revealed at the age of sixteen, the artist
recorded her first single a week after her audition. From there, things moved very quickly. Moreover, the interpreter of Bang Bang had difficulty realizing at the time. “Beyond being brutal, I didn’t see anything. My parents signed a contract. I was in the studio, I recorded my first record. I think eight or ten days afterwards I was making TV. It happened so quickly (…) I learned on the job. The day I realized things was that I lost my freedom. It’s synonymous with loss freedom for me. It’s not synonymous with success (…) it’s mainly the fact that I could no longer go out on the street”she remembered at the microphone of RTL this Tuesday, October 10.

If this is part of the game, some admirers sometimes went a little far in their desire to approach Sheila
. “People were sleeping on my doormat, hiding in my parents’ parking lot. It’s very stressful,” she added.
Moreover, this period will not have been without consequences as revealed Sheila
. “I have retained a trauma from that time. I’m afraid of crowds. It’s ridiculous because the people are absolutely kind (…) I have a life with these people. For me it’s a huge family throughout France.”, she concluded. Today, the icon of the yéyé era continues this love story with her audience who have followed her for several decades despite her nine-year break by returning to the stage.
Moreover, she intends to continue as long as she can since Sheila notably specified during this interview: “I am privileged because I already have good health. I believe that we can do this only if we have the energy to do it. I was born both under a complicated star, at the same time wonderful . Above all, I have a passion for what I do. As long as I could do it, I would continue to do it. I don’t see the time passing. I’m not even sixty years old in my head, obviously that helps “.How beautiful it is !
