Nighttime footage, recorded from a B-52 military aircraft in international airspace over the South China Sea, shows a Chinese J-11 fighter jet coming dangerously close to the American plane.
In a statement, the US military’s Indo-Pacific Command accused the Chinese pilot of bringing his fighter jet within about three meters of the US B-52.
“We are concerned that the pilot did not understand that he had come so close to causing a collision,” the US military said.
