After having triggered article 49.3 of the Constitution to pass the text on pensions, the future of Elisabeth Borne at Matignon is now written in dotted lines.

In an overheated hemicycle, the Prime Minister yesterday engaged the responsibility of her government. In the evening, she assumes everything, did not recognize any mistakes. So, is Elisabeth Borne threatened? “It’s not a question of anyone, it’s supporting our country, finding the right answers. When a government takes responsibility, there are motions of censure and at the end there is a vote”said the Prime Minister on the set of TF1, Friday, March 17.

Liot’s no-confidence motion could bring down the reform

At the beginning of next week, Elisabeth Borne will have to face motions of censure. In particular the one that the Liot group will file this afternoon, which hopes to bring together all the opposition. “Don’t be afraid, come with us, the more you will be, the more it will allow this notion of censorship to pass and ensure that we abandon this pension reform”, declared the deputy Liot of Meuse Bertrand Pancher. But to be adopted, the motion of censure will have to collect 287 votes. Oppositions will need the votes of Republicans, an ever-divided group. From now on, even if the motion of censure is rejected, the future of Elisabeth Borne is written in dotted lines.
