The Inforetraites site, an official simulator which allows you to find out more about the amount of your pension and the retirement age, was taken by storm from its first day, Monday, June 12. On average, 500 requests were made every minute.
Retirement at 60, 62 or 64 and with what pension? Since Monday, June 12 in the morning, the pension insurance simulator has been up to date and includes the calculations of the new reform. The employees of a store specializing in sound systems in Île-de-France did not wait long before connecting. Samuel was born in 1964. He was supposed to work until age 62, but he finds out this morning that it will be until age 63. “We do not have a choice. We suffer a little, but what we hope is that it will stop there”he says.
500 connections per minute
His colleague in after-sales service is on a long career. He started working at age 13. For him, nothing changes. “This at least proves that long careers are taken into account”he points out. In total, there were 500 connections on average per minute to the info-retraites site, twice as many as expected. By working longer, it is possible to increase your pension: little consolation for the employees. “If we had had the choice, would we have chosen 170 euros more per month for two and a half years more.
