While Emmanuel Macron repeated that he wanted to go quickly, François Bayrou, yet reputed to be close to the president, issued a warning on Sunday September 18 in an interview with “Parisien”.

The pension project has not yet been launched and the majority is already cracking up. This morning, Sunday September 18, François Bayrou, close to the president and pillar of his policy, warns: for him, it is out of the question to see the pension reform force through the Assembly. “That’s not how you make a big reform for a country. What is not normal is to use the 49.3 without the necessary preparation”he launched during an interview on Europe 1.

The new boss of the presidential party, appointed last night, wants to reassure his allies. “I think we shouldn’t let ourselves be locked into a debate about form. Nobody wants a forced passage on this pension reform (…) There will be a parliamentary debate”assured Stéphane Séjourné, the secretary general of Renaissance on “Le grand jury RTL” this morning. But the unions opposed by the reform, denounce the attitude of the government. The consultations promise to be tense.
