Prisca Thévenot, spokesperson for Renaissance and deputy for Hauts-de-Seine, is the guest of the program “Sunday in politics” broadcast on France 3, Sunday February 26. She returns in particular to the pension reform and Bruno Retailleau’s proposal on the retirement of women.

Sunday February 26, Prisca Thévenot, spokesperson for Renaissance and deputy for Hauts-de-Seine, is the guest of the program “Sunday in politics” broadcast on France 3. Asked about the request made by opposition groups to set up a debate in the National Assembly on the delivery of French arms to Ukraine, Prisca Thévenot believes that “Parliament must be able to debate all subjects”. Asked about the anti-inflation basket, Prisca Thévenot indicates that the subject is “still under discussion” at the Ministry ofEeconomy, and that “the conclusions will be made within a few weeks”.

Debates which “damaged the hemicycle”

The spokesperson for Renaissance then returns to the heated debates in the National Assembly as part of the examination of the pension reform, and believes that they have “damaged the hemicycle”. While the reform will arrive in the Senate in a few days, Prisca Thévenot is questioned about the proposal to the government made by Bruno Retailleau in an interview with the Parisian published on Saturday February 25. The boss of the Republicans in the Senate group wants “either a 5% premium for mothers who have reached both a full career and the legal age, or an early departure at 63”. If Prisca Thévenot declares that “like that, it looks quite attractive”it nevertheless considers that“we must see the terms”.
