This is undoubtedly the most anticipated ceremony of the year. On Sunday March 27, 2022, the week ended with great fanfare as the 94th edition of the Oscars took place, from the Dolby Theater on Hollywood Boulevard, in Los Angeles. Unsurprisingly, the entire planet was on the lookout for the big winners, a month after the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced the nominations. Actresses and actors, directors and directors… all those who participate directly or indirectly in the wonderful world of the seventh art were there.
The Oscars ceremony is a great opportunity to celebrate the big screen, but it also involves a dose of stress, especially for the nominees. This is why the vast majority came accompanied by their better half. The red carpet, installed at the entrance to the Dolby Theatre, was therefore walked by Benedict Cumberbatch and his wife Sophie Hunter, Maggie Gyllenhaal and her husband Peter Sarsgaard, Penélope Cruz and Javier Bardem, Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker, Olivia Colman and her husband Ed Sinclair, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith – just before he put a monumental slap in the face to Chris Rock -, Rachel Zegler and her companion Josh Andrés Rivera or even by Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis.
Also present: Jamie Dornan and his wife Amelia Warner, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, Zach Baylin and Kate Susman, Riz Ahmed and his wife Fatima Farheen Mirza, Samuel L. Jackson and his wife Latanya Richardson, Daniel Kim and his wife Mia Kim Wiki, Denzel Washington and his wife Pauletta, Ann Mangini and Mark Mangin, Serena Williams and her husband Alexis Ohanian, Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons, Jessica Chastain and her husband Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo, Denis Villeneuve and his wife Tanya Lapointe, Josh Brolin and Kathryn Boyd Brolin as well as Kenneth Branagh and Lindsay Brunnock.
