(San Francisco) Apple on Tuesday announced that it has filed a lawsuit against NSO Group, the Israeli company that makes the Pegasus spy software that has been used to target iPhone users, and has asked the court to permanently ban programs from NSO on Apple brand devices and services.
NSO found itself exposed this summer after inquiries published by a consortium of 17 international media outlets revealing that Pegasus allegedly spied on the numbers of journalists, politicians, activists or business leaders from different countries, including the president French Emmanuel Macron.
