The British television series Peaky Blinders was broadcast from 2013 to 2022, first only on the BBC channel, then also on Netflix and Prime Video. It follows a family of criminals – nicknamed the Peaky Blinders – who have a stranglehold on Birmingham in the inter-war period. Director Steven Knight had warned in 2021 that a feature film would follow the popular and acclaimed series.
