(Montreal) A press conference by Éric Duhaime on the tramway scheduled for Wednesday in Quebec City almost did not take place due to lack of location. The candidate in the riding of La Peltrie, Stéphane Lachance, implored people on Facebook to help him find one.

“We are going to have a press briefing on the tramway tomorrow,” confirmed the leader of the Conservative Party of Quebec on Tuesday afternoon.
The news was first reported by QMI Agency citing the contestant’s video. She has since been removed from the social network.
Stéphane Lachance said he wanted to find a place to illustrate “the harmful effects of expropriation”. He had until noon to do so. He claimed to have targeted four different places where they replied “we did not want to associate with any political party”.
Disappointed and angered by the lack of support for his opposing party, the tram project, he asserted that “the conservative party is not the Nazi party. »
“We were looking for people who had very specific profiles for expropriation, in particular, and we found exactly the people we wanted for our press briefing,” commented Éric Duhaime.
The question of the tramway divides the citizens of Quebec. The municipal administration would like it to see the light of day while the PCQ is against it. According to a Léger poll conducted on behalf of the City in May, more than half of them disagree with the project.
