(Montreal) The leader of the Parti Québécois, Paul St-Pierre Plamondon, confirmed having received death threats.
Questioned on this subject Friday in Montreal, as part of a press conference on another subject, the leader of the PQ thus confirmed the information which had been revealed in the Montreal Journal.
Visibly upset, since the threats were addressed to him and his family, Mr. St-Pierre Plamondon had to interrupt the impromptu press briefing.
“It’s my private sphere, but everything that is (already) public, I confirm,” he concluded.
He specified that four days passed between the receipt of these death threats and the arrest of a suspect. He congratulated the Sûreté du Québec for its “excellent work”.
“As of today, the investigation is still ongoing,” he added.
