It is in 2019, that Paul El Kharrat appeared in the eyes of the general public. For several months, he chained victories and exploits in the 12 strokes of noon. His performances made him one of the top contenders in the program. The 23-year-old was then spotted by Laurent Ruquier to join the Big heads on RTL in November 2020.
Within this team, he befriended a singing star: Liane Foly! “She became a friend because she showed understanding, tolerance and human warmth that I cannot deny”he revealed to our colleagues from Tele-Leisure. The youngest member of the gang continues on the reasons for this friendship: “She told me that I am a beautiful person, that I have to be happy, that if there is a problem, I can send her a message and that she will be there for me… is what a friend would do and I want to give him my trust, importance and give him a place in my life.”
Complicated beginnings
During his interview given to Jordan De Luxe in 2021, the young man with Asperger’s syndrome had confided that his debut had started badly. He had been the target of criticism from a member of the radio show. “The individual, I’m not going to quote him, necessarily thought that I couldn’t hear and he kind of said that I was a bit stupid for not understanding certain things, at the time”he explained, adding in passing that it was a woman. “I think she may have said that in a joking tone, but with a little patter, because it was said with seriousness and far from me… We could have talked about it, of course”
Fortunately, things have since settled down!
