On a fishing trip with his in-laws, Paul Byron played the heroes by saving the pilot of a seaplane from drowning.

The incident first reported by RDS, took place on Saturday at Lac des Sables in Notre-Dame-du-Laus, in the Laurentians.
While the Montreal Canadiens forward was fishing with his brother-in-law, father-in-law and a family friend, a seaplane crashed into the water nearby.
According to witnesses, the aircraft nosed over and landed in a shallower part of the lake. The attacker would not have hesitated to dive and go to the aid of the man in danger, despite the remains of the seaplane and the gas floating on the surface.
Byron was part of the second responder group that brought the pilot to safety on shore. He was taken to hospital to treat serious injuries, but his life is not in danger according to the authorities.
