Paul Arcand’s press review | “Amélie Champagne has been escaped by the system”

During his press review on Thursday, Paul Arcand reacts to the report by coroner Julie-Kim Godin, released on Wednesday morning, in connection with the death of Amélie Champagne.

The 22-year-old woman took her own life in September 2022.

In her report, the coroner makes 19 recommendations, particularly on the management of patients with suicidal thoughts and the support of users struggling with Lyme disease.

In summary, what we can say is that Amélie Champagne, for five years, consulted a bunch of specialists in the health field. For five years, she was in the revolving doors of the network. She was passed over by the system. What is disturbing in the coroner’s report is that what Amélie Champagne experienced, you may have experienced yourself.
