Chandler Jones caught a rather odd side pass from Jakobi Meyers of the New England Patriots on the final play and returned it 48 yards for a touchdown, giving the Las Vegas Raiders a 30-24 victory, Sunday.
With the game tied at 24, the Patriots went all out in a last-ditch attempt to avoid overtime. Rhamondre Stevenson tossed the ball to Meyers, who tossed it across the field and into the arms of Jones, who had nothing but open ground in front of him.
The Raiders (6-8) led 17-3 at halftime before allowing the Patriots (7-7) to score 21 points in a row. Las Vegas scored two touchdowns in the final 32 seconds and seriously hurt New England’s playoff hopes.
