It’s time for secrets for Jacques Legros. For several days, the famous journalist has been doing interviews to promote his book called “Behind the screen – 40 years – at the heart of the media” published by Rocher. Unvarnished, the principal concerned lifts the veil on his incredible journey. For 24 years, he was the joker of Jean-Pierre Pernaut. And working alongside him was a great experience despite some tensions.
“Jean-Pierre had a temperament – and that’s what made him successful. He was not a man to share the newspaper in a supporting role (…)”, confessed Jacques Legros for 20 minutes. In his book, the husband of Valérie Legros even evokes a deal passed between them: “We formed a duo who passed the baton to each other. By becoming his joker, I had sworn never to steal his chair. We had another agreement: no one meddle in each other’s newspapers. Jean-Pierre never told me what to do”.
