After 16 seasons with the Chicago Blackhawks, winger Patrick Kane would be traded to the New York Rangers according to informant Frank Seravalli.
According to Seravalli, the Blackhawks would acquire a second-round pick — who could become a first-round pick under some still-unknown terms — and a fourth-round pick in return for the forward.
The exchange, which should be formalized in the evening, should allow Kane to make his debut with the Blue Shirts on Wednesday against the Philadelphia Flyers. A third formation should be part of the exchange in order to absorb a portion of Kane’s contract.
More details to come.
