A worrying publication. Via an official press release posted through his Instagram story Monday January 8, 2024, Patrick de Carolis announced that he was facing health problems. Indeed, the 70-year-old journalist and politician indicated that he had carried out a “consultation at Arles hospital”the city of which he is mayor.
Medical appointments at the end of which the former president and CEO of France Télévisions announced that the doctors had prescribed him “complete rest for several days”.
The reason ? The former host of the show

clarified that he “suffers from a lung infection”… A hard blow for the politician who is not starting the year 2024 under the best auspices… And besides, Patrick de Carolis added via his press release that his health problem forced him to cancel many of his trips planned for January.

“My state of health does not allow me”
“Consequently, my current state of health does not allow me to go to the first wish ceremonies in the neighborhoods, villages and hamlets of Greater Arles,” can we read. An absence which his first deputy, Jean-Michel Jalabert, as well as elected officials from the villages concerned, will try to compensate for.
“Until then, I also find myself forced to not be able to make the appointments already fixed, and ask you to apologize very sincerely”concluded the former journalist who now hopes to return “as quickly as possible” to assume his duties as mayor. We cross fingers !
