It is not uncommon in the same family to see several people following the same professional path. But when it comes to the children of stars following in their parents’ footsteps, it can sometimes be about two brothers. In this case, Patrick Bruel and his half-brother David Moreau. Indeed, the singer who we find this December 10, 2021 on France 3 in Let’s sing Aznavour is not the only one of his entourage to have started in the music industry.
Although he is less exposed than his older brother, David-François Moreau (by his full name) is also an outstanding musician and composer. Equally aware of the world of music at a young age, the latter however put an end to these piano lessons when his former teacher slapped him. From then on, the young man showed talent by learning, alone and in a self-taught way, the piano. A feat that greatly helped her during her career since he was thus able not only to assist his brother during several performances, but also to become a talented composer.
An exemplary career
Mastering brilliantly the piano, the accordion as well as several wind and percussion instruments, David-François Moreau quickly became a very popular composer. As early as 1997, the latter composed not only for television – for the telefilm Happiness is a lie, directed by Patrick Dewolf in 1997 -, but also for the theater, the cinema or for the commercials.
On the private side, David Moreau remains very discreet on this subject in the press. In addition to his brief relationship with French actress Emmanuelle Béart – during which his son, Yohan, was born in 1996 -, Patrick Bruel’s half-brother is now careful to stay away from the media.
