After breaches of the rules set for wearing the electronic bracelet, the Rouen Court of Appeal, Monday, February 7, sent Patrick Balkany back to prison. Live from Vexin-sur-Epte (Eure), journalist Florent Boutet takes stock.
“Just now, at noon, the gendarmerie car taking Patrick Balkany passed by us at full speed. Patrick Balkany was summoned here for two hours and will sleep this evening in Fleury-Mérogis prison ( Essonne) for not having respected his placement under an electronic bracelet”explains journalist Florent Boutet, live from Vexin-sur-Epte (Eure).
The former mayor of Levallois (Hauts-de-Seine) was under house arrest in his house in Giverny (Eure). “Only, for almost a year, on a hundred occasions, he has not respected his exit schedules”continues the journalist. “That’s why the prosecutor decided to send him back behind bars.” He is not followed by his wife, who has attempted suicide and “is still hospitalized, she even contracted Covid-19 there”, concludes Florent Boutet.
