Furnished tourist accommodation: “We will have the possibility for mayors to control this market”
That’s to say ? “Mobilize more land in universities to be able to build student housing, transform offices into housing, try to make commitments on the construction of student social housing”specifies Patrice Vergriete.
Will there be any constructions decided soon? “35,000 in the next few years, in the next three years, 8,000 from next year in student social housing”details the Minister Delegate in charge of Housing.
Furnished tourist accommodation has also grown significantly. What to do to regulate the market? “We must break this dynamic in areas where it has developed too much”believes Patrice Vergriete, adding: “The priority is to give mayors the possibility of limiting development in municipalities where today it is excessive. […] This is what is done in the bill which was voted on in committee there and which will very soon pass in the chamber of the National Assembly. We will have the possibility for mayors to control this market.”.
